FIONA FORBES

Vibrant, colourful and uplifting paintings are Fiona’s speciality. She paints in all media and enjoys painting outdoors in good weather. She uses a palette knife to create textured and colourful oils and acrylics.

Her inspiration comes from nature and colourful scenery. She paints in an impressionistic style and is influenced by Monet and all the french impressionists. She attended Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art followed by a year at Dundee College of Education in the 1970’s.

She has  spent many years in various European countries. Wherever she lived, she initiated and tutored watercolour classes .

This wealth of interacting with different cultures, nationalities and personalities has been a major influence on her art, palette and outlook on life. In 2009, Fiona settled in Wiltshire and now runs the Laverstock art club in Salisbury. She does demonstrations and workshops locally. She also teaches at Dedham Hall in Essex as well as painting holidays abroad.

Fiona enjoys exhibiting her work and is a member of several art groups.
